nothing like the fall.

I love fall and everything about it. It has to be the BEST time of the year. Everything wonderful happens between Labor day and the beginning of December.
  1. Leaves turn into a fiery red and pumpkin orange. They find there way to the ground and crunch underneath your feet. It's one of my favorite sounds/moments in the world. I look forward to it every year.
  2. The air is crisp.  It makes you feel as if you can do ANYTHING.  Just breathing in gives you a whole different attitude towards the day ahead.  It clears out the negativity and resurges you with positivity. You just feel fresh.
  3. Football is back.  There is nothing like a good tailgate and football game. Even if you don't make it to the games there is still the idea of watching SEC football on TV all day that is exciting.
  4. Bon Fires & Smores.  I love the smell of a fire burning and being bundled up with a marshmallow to roast is so comforting and fun.  The wonderful conversations that can be had by a crackling fire while surrounded by wonderful friends can hold some of the best memories.
  5. Pumpkin patches.I love going to a pumpkin patch, riding in hay, picking the perfect pumpkin and taking it home. Then carving it. the best.
I also love the fashions of fall. Tweeds, leather boots, scarves, coats, dark jeans, and so much more.

I'm obsessed with these boots & belts from jcrew. I want some brown leather riding boots desperately.

I am also excited because this year for my Fall Break I am going to visit my brother John and his wife Bayley in Ann Arbor, Michigan. I get to add another state to my list of visited ones as well as see a beautiful state during my favorite season. Bayley and I are planning trips to an apple orchard as well as a pumpkin patch for sure! I can't wait to take pictures of all the foliage and feel the cold air.
Here is a picture I found online of the Law School quad in the fall. I'm so jealous that my brother is going to be walking through this everyday.....I can't wait for my visit!

I'm home for the night. I've had fun watching football with my mom all day while catching up, doing laundry, making brownies and having a homemade chili dogs. For dinner my dad grilled steaks and we had baked potatoes and a salad. I love being home. I'm just sad it's for a mere 24 hours. It was a much needed break from Florence though. My drive on the Natchez Trace was splendid as always. The beautiful cotton fields were in full bloom and the leaves are peaking with color.  In a few more weeks it will be bursting with red and orange. I will be back on the road again tomorrow and then back to the grind of school, work, step show practice, internship, and everything else that will fit into my tightly bound schedule.

Oh, and enjoy the new background. I couldn't resist. I really do just love leaves and autumn in every way.
Until next time,

-J
