THIS is American Idol

"We sure have watched a lot more TV since Jessica's been back home."-dad

My dad said the above tonight as we settled in to watch the latest dvr'd program at the Clayton house. What can I say, I bring entertainment back to the homestead when I return...Not that my dad lets it die when I'm gone. 

American Idol was back tonight. I didn't watch last season at all, and I was a little iffy about it with Paula AND Simon gone, but also curious to see how JLo and Steven Tyler would be. I was very surprised at how entertaining and fresh it was. Loved it.

Maybe it's because I've grown up with Jenny from the Block's music ,or maybe because when I was in the 10th grade my dad took me to an Aerosmith concert and it was one of my favorite memories with my dad...I don't know, but I liked it. 

Looking forward to seeing where it goes.
