Kelly Kapoor: Oh my God I have so much to tell you!
Jim Halpert: Really?
Kelly Kapoor: Yes! Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, they had a baby and they named it Suri, and then Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, they had a baby, too, and they named it Shiloh. And both babies are amazing!
Jim Halpert: Great. What's new with you?
Kelly Kapoor: [blank stare] I just told you
I love smart, witty, down to earth "celebrities" Hence my love for all things Mindy Kaling. You may know her as Kelly Kapoor on The Office. I always say Kelly Kapoor is my hero, but really Mindy Kaling is. As much as I love Kelly, I love Mindy even more! She writes many of the episodes of The Office as well as starring in them, and I think sometimes directing. A women of many talents. She is one of my favorite people to follow on twitter because she, like myself isn't ashamed of knowing everything about every episode of the Kardashian franchise or talking about Will & Kate like they are your bffs. She gets that enjoying television, no matter how mindless it is, doesn't make you dumb or lazy, it just makes you interested. Just because I would rather watch and talk about television just means that I enjoy it, not that I don't have other interests. Seriously. Mindy {In my mind we're on first name level} gets it and celebrates it.Bayley sent me an article Mindy wrote for The New Yorker about female roles in romantic comedies entitled "Flick Chicks." It's fabulous and a must read. Enjoy! READ HERE
