my heart will go on and on and on

I did it....I finally went to see TITANIC 3-D! It was just as amazing as I imagined it would be. My friend LeFlore and I trekked down to the Regency theater in Chinatown Sunday afternoon, got our 3-D glasses, our snacks and settled in with the rest of the twenty something girls who wanted to relive their obsession on the big screen. When that music started it took me back to 4th grade, the Malco on Cliff Gookin, and my taped pictures of Leo DiCaprio on the inside of my desk at Rankin Elementary. I can't believe my mother indulged my insistance of purchasing every magazine with at least ONE picture of Leo on the inside. She really is a great mom!

I'm usually anti all things 3-D because it cost too much and doesn't really change the movie experience for me except maybe giving me a headache, but I totally support this endevor. This is the kind of movie meant for a little 3-D action! Also since James Cameron invented the technology he knows how to do it just right {but 3 hrs of 3-D DOES result in a headache!} Seeing the movie in the theatre again just changes the whole experience. There is nothing like it. I love, love, loved it. I cried, I got chills, I squealed and quoted the lines with EVERY SINGLE GIRL in the theatre. We were all having a bonding experience. And the music is so haunting and of course when Celine comes on during the credits you JUST have to sit and listen to the song in it's entirity...it's required.

I suggest getting yourselves to the Theatre ASAP. And no, the 3-D technology doesn't help them spot the iceberg any faster {to everyone in the world that has made that joke}

oh and this has been my argument for the past 15 years:

  1. I'm going to see this tonight as a treat for all of my hard work and studying these past 2 days. What a treat it will be to relive my middle school Leo obsession days! Loved this post :)
