I'm an American girl who gets goose bumps every time I hear the Star-Spangled Banner. The Fourth of July is my favorite holiday and Presidential campaigns get my heart racing. My family is the love of my life. My father is the person I can have the best conversations with whether they be about a movie or national politics, my Mother is the epitome of do-it-all mom and the women everyone asks for recipes from after a church potluck, my oldest brother Josh is a funny old man in a twentysomething body who no matter how successful he gets will never get tired of bathroom humor, Doritos, and video games while my brother John is the pianist, math teacher, now law school bound guy whose never finished with his plan to dominate everything. My sister-in-law, Bayley, is married to John. I have known her since I was 13 years old. She's pretty much my sister and one of my best friends. I talk to her more than anybody in my family probably. She's ridiculously high strung and hates her job more than anyone I know but she meshes well with the Clayton clan. Shes become a lot stranger over the years and she blames it all on "this family!" I am so thankful for these people in my life because they have molded and shaped me into the person I am today.
I am also grateful for the family that I have developed while being away at college. Relationships you form in college are so different then those you form growing up and just going to school with people. True you may know your friends from home longer, but the bond formed while living and going to school with people is so different. I didn't truly find my real college friends until my Junior year, but I am so thankful for them. They are a story for another blog and another day. I don't know why I am this lucky to have such an amazing group of people in my life, but I'm not going to question it because it is too good.
Love it! So glad you finally decided to start a blop. Keep it up!
