sytycd

I know I have mentioned this a few times, but I love So You Think You Can Dance. I've never really watched a TV show in the summer because for the past three summers I've been at camp or in DC. Since I just worked till 6pm everyday this summer I have become quite a summer TV fan.  My favorite of all has definitely been sytycd. (shubeedoubeedoo dance,dance,dance...)

I've not only enjoyed the show but the company of my friends Darla and Kaitlin. Every week up until recently we have gathered at Darla's apartment, had dinner, and enjoyed the show. We would squeal every time Pasha was on screen doing a sexy tango or yell every time Cat Deeley made an awkward comment.  We enjoyed the moments of Kent transforming from a little boy to a man (you know when it happened) and all of Kenny's crying. (btw we call AdeChike 'Kenny' because of his striking resemblance to the character of Kenny on The Cosby Show). We ragged on Mia's hair choices and fell in love with choreography team and married couple Tabitha and Napoleon and all of their hip hop greatness. We enjoyed Robert's pageant facial expressions each week when he wasn't eliminated while wearing his board shorts/tank-tops and despised Billy Bell and his gray and red skinny jeans that he wore every week. We went through the emotional roller coaster of Alex Wong getting hurt (definitely the best dancer on the show) and the happiness of seeing Lauren and Kent do their prom dance.

It was just such a summer of fun. It came to an end tonight and Lauren was the winner. I literally didn't care who won. I loved all of the top 3. Now it's time to plan our road trip to see the tour. We have decided Louisville, Kentucky is our best option. It's a straight shot up I65 and it's October 23. We WILL be there!

Here's a few memorable dances:

Kenny and Comfort dancing to Fallin'

Robert and Allison dancing to Fix You by Coldplay

My two Alex favorites of the season Outta' Yo Mind and Hallelujah

Lauren and Twitch doing some real good hip-hop. My Chick Bad

My favorite from the finale. Robert & Lauren and the Pillow Dance

There are mannnnnnnny more wonderful ones. I'm sure I will post those at some point too. So sit back, procrastinate a few minutes, and enjoy the art of dance.
