a trip down the road

I went to Oxford last night to visit with my brother and sister-in-law.  They are staying at Bayley's parents' house and keeping their dog and cat while they are out of town. Bayley and I finally went to see Water for Elephants yesterday afternoon. I enjoyed it as much as I was expecting too.  I loved the book so much and I was glad to see it mostly stay true to on screen.  My favorite part was the clothes of the 1930s circus.  It all looks like an illusion of grandeur during such a terrible time of depression in the United States. Everything about the circus really is an illusion to what is really happening in the world at the time.
