On the nightstand

Due to now having the time I'm getting back to reading a lot more.  Lately I have been focusing on books whose movie counterpart are soon arriving in theaters.  I just finished Water for Elephants. I'm so ready for the movie.  It was such a great story.  I literally couldn't put it down, which resulted in very late nights and tired mornings {totally worth it though}. The book is set in the 30s in the midst of a traveling circus.  It's dark and gritty as well as full of pageantry and humor.  My sister-in-law, Bayley, has been reading it as well so it was fun to discuss it with her and some other friends who have been reading over emails.  I feel like I'm in a kind of electronic book club.

The movie stars Robert Pattinson and Reese Witherspoon as Jacob and Marlena, which makes the movie seem like a real treat.  Can't. Wait.

Movie Trailer:

Before Water for Elephants I read Something Borrowed {movie coming soon with Kate Hudson and Ginnifer Goodwin} very fun, girls-in-their-20s book. Very easy read. Only took me two days, mostly because I couldn't wait to see what happens.  I plan on reading the next book in the series Something Blue at some point.

Movie Trailer:

I'm about to start The Help which I have also heard is a page turner...we shall see. It's set in Mississippi, which I also tend to find interesting.  I'll report back with my findings.

So that's what's on the nightstand.
