By this point in the trip I can't think of any significant details to share. We road, we stopped for gas/bathroom breaks/snacks from time to time ,and to let Louis stretch his legs and then we would finally arrive at the next location tired and hungry. Sante Fe was really beautiful driving to. Here are some pictures from the road:
Sante Fe was a really cute little town. I would definitely like to go back sometime and spend some more time there. They had a lot of cute restaurants, Inns, and Bed & Breakfast places as well as spas downtown. Definitely sounds like a nice place to relax and the weather was really nice!
That night we went to a pizza place called Backroad Pizza that had also been featured on Diners, Drive-Ins, & Dives and we got the New Mexican Pizza that had pepperonis, chhese, onions, and green chilis. Quite spicy but very good.
We walked around the downtown area the next day. Very cute:
After we finished walking around the area we headed out to Amarillo, TX:
When we got to Amarillo we checked in to the hotel {the usual at this point} and then rested for a while. For dinner we went to a place Bayley found online that was pretty famous in the area. It was supposedly the BEST burger in Amarillo, and OH WAS IT! The restuarant was called Blue Sky and it was AMAZING! We were stuffed beyond measure when we left. For some reason that night John and I stayed up really late and found this show on TLC called My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding. I don't know how long this show has been on TV, but WOW! It's such a train wreck but we sat and watched it til 3am. It's about "travelers/gypsies" in London and the weddings they have that are crazy over-the-top. John and I were facinated!
