We drove to Dallas from Amarillo on Sunday, our final stop of the excursion. We were actually in Frisco, TX a suburb of Dallas and stayed with John's college roomate Matthew. John will be staying with him for the remainder of his time in Texas. Unfortunately upon our arrival we had to take Louis to the emergency vet. The little guy hadn't eaten or drank anything all day and Louis NEVER misses a meal. When we got to the vet I waited in the lobby while they went back with him. After several blood tests they deteremined that he had pancreatitis, but since they caught it very early he was going to be okay. He did have to stay overnight to recieve fluids from an IV.
Once Louis was settled at the vet we stopped for some dinner at Sonic and then drove back to Matthew's apartment. We watched a movie, had popcorn, and Coke and then finally went to sleep around 2am. It was a short slumber because I had to be at the airport by 7:30am. Matthew drove John and I to the airport since Bayley had to go pick up Louis by 8am at the emergency vet. John had to pick up his rental car at the airport as well and drive to work in downtown Dallas.
It was such a great trip, it was unfortunate it ended on a sad note with Louis...he's such a cutie! We really bonded on this trip. He loves his Aunt Jess! He would snuggle with me every morning in the hotels after he woke up. He's okay now. Home from the vet and eating well.
I had so much fun on this journey! I'm so glad I got to go along for the ride {literally}I got to add three states to my list of visited ones, and adding new states is always exciting! Now resting up...Bermuda in 5 days with J & K.
